A Response to Various Comments We've Received Friday, April 9

To clarify several misconceptions about this web site, we have added two sub-sections under "The Purpose of this Web Site" on the main page.

USA vs. Non-USA Votes Saturday, March 27

We have placed 2 new charts on the main page to compare votes placed within the USA with votes placed from other countries. These charts will be updated on the same schedule as the world-region charts. Because some votes do not have associated country information (currently <2%) , the total votes in these two charts will be slightly less than the "global" total at the top of the main page.

New World-Region Charts Friday, March 26

To better convey the opinions of voters outside the US, the world-region charts are now calculated without US votes. We intend to add a related chart to the front page.

We are now asking for Countries Friday, March 26

Today we began asking each voter to provide their Country along with their vote. This information will be used in the charts showing vote results by world region. Previously, we determined this information by looking up the location of that user's Internet Service Provider (ISP). We are switching to the new method because it is more accurate; however, it will take some time to incorporate the new data into the existing charts. We will post a message here when that happens.

Welcome! Friday, March 26

ALLVOTE.org began operation on Wednesday, March 23rd. In just two days, the site has received well over 1000 visitors, thanks in large part to the publicity generated by Joan Chittister's article in the National Catholic Reporter. Traffic to our web-site continues to grow each day.

Fortunately, most visitors appear to have little or no problems voting. We apologize for the inconvenience to those who experience difficulties. We have tried to make the voting process as user-friendly as possible, while retaining the necessary security measures that help to keep our results credible. Please contact us if you need assistance when voting.

We would like to thank everyone who has sent us comments and suggestions. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to make the web-site run smoothly.
